Throughout my life I have had several major influences that helped me achieve my goals and dreams. Obviously my parents had a major impact on my development as an athlete and person. My dad, Bob, taught me the right way to play ball and never let me accept second best. My mom, Linda, was always there to support and push me to excel. I owe a great deal to my parents for spending the time and money to let me develop my athletic talents. Another big influence in my life is my wife, Tammy. Since my freshman year of high school she has been there to support me throughout my trials and triumphs. Without her I certainly could not have made it to where I am today.
The last, but certainly not the least of the influences in my life, is my faith. Through the course of my life I have always believed that if I live my life right and treat others the way God had intended everything would work out. The Lord has certainly blessed me greatly and for that I am truly thankful. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 24Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may win. My greatest single joy in life is getting to spend time with my wife and four children. I am truly blessed to have such wonderful, healthy kids and a supportive wife. Other things I enjoy are watching movies, listening to Christian rock music and being an active member at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church. Having played multiple sports growing up, I obviously enjoy watching and playing sports. I don't really have any favorite teams, but there are certain players I admire. Athlete's such as Joe Montana, Mark Price, Michael Jordan, Tim Duncan and Greg Maddux are a few of my favorites. I also enjoy working on my computer and surfing the internet. I have an Apple Powerbook that I take with me everywhere to keep me entertained and my business running.
